3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
To respond to your inquiries and fulfill requests for information about our services
To send you relevant communications about VICO's services, insights, and events, where you have provided your contact information
To analyze and improve Site performance, user experience, and content
To understand how visitors find and use our Site for internal marketing and business development purposes
To comply with applicable legal obligations
We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
4. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.
We may share your information in the following limited circumstances:
Service Providers: We work with trusted third-party vendors who assist us in operating the Site and conducting our business (e.g., website hosting, email platforms, CRM tools, and analytics providers). These providers are contractually obligated to use your information only as necessary to perform services on our behalf and to protect it with appropriate security measures.
Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, regulation, court order, or government authority, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of VICO, our clients, or the public.
Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or substantially all of VICO's assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via email and/or a prominent notice on the Site prior to any such transfer.
California "Shine the Light" (Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.83): California residents may request information about any disclosures we have made to third parties for their direct marketing purposes during the prior calendar year. VICO does not share personal information with third parties for their own direct marketing purposes. To submit a Shine the Light request, contact us at connect@vicoinfrastructure.com.
5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use cookies and similar tracking technologies on the Site. A cookie is a small text file stored on your device that helps us recognize your browser and remember certain information.
Google Analytics: We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors interact with the Site. Google Analytics collects data such as pages viewed, time on site, and traffic sources using a first-party cookie. This data is aggregated and does not personally identify you. To opt out of Google Analytics tracking across all websites, you may install the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-on.
Meta (Facebook) Pixel: We use the Meta Pixel to measure the effectiveness of our advertising and to understand how visitors interact with the Site after viewing our ads on Facebook and Instagram. Meta may use this data in accordance with its own privacy policy. To manage your Meta ad preferences, visit Meta's Ad Preferences.
Cookie Choices: You may disable cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to refuse cookies or to alert you when cookies are being sent. Note that disabling cookies may affect the functionality of certain features of the Site. Common browser opt-out resources include:
Chrome: Settings > Privacy and Security > Cookies
Safari: Preferences > Privacy
Firefox: Options > Privacy & Security
We do not currently respond to browser "Do Not Track" (DNT) signals, as there is no uniform industry standard for doing so. If that changes, we will update this policy accordingly.
6. Data Retention
We retain personal information submitted through contact forms for as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected, to maintain a business relationship, or as required by law. If you request deletion of your information and we are not legally required to retain it, we will delete it within 30 days of receiving a verifiable request.
Automatically collected analytics data (Google Analytics, Meta Pixel) is retained in accordance with those providers' standard retention policies.
7. Data Security
We implement reasonable and appropriate administrative, technical, and physical security measures to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. These measures include restricted access controls, secure network storage, and use of reputable third-party service providers with strong security practices.
No method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Data Breach Notification: In the unlikely event of a security breach that compromises your personal information, VICO will notify affected individuals by email within 45 days of discovering the breach, in accordance with California Civil Code § 1798.29. Notice will describe the nature of the breach, the information involved, and steps you can take to protect yourself.
(Note: We have updated the prior policy's "7 business days" language, which was more aggressive than required and potentially difficult to meet. California law requires "expedient" notification; 45 days is a commonly accepted outer limit.)
8. Children's Privacy (COPPA)
The Site is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately at connect@vicoinfrastructure.com and we will delete it promptly.
9. Third-Party Links
The Site may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit.
10. Your Privacy Rights and Choices
Regardless of your location, you may contact us to:
Request access to the personal information we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information
Request deletion of your personal information (subject to legal retention requirements)

We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of the above rights.
11. Updates to This Policy
